For 35 years, I worked in hospitality — welcoming guests, anticipating needs, and learning that the difference between a good experience and an unforgettable one is almost always in the details.
That career took me through some of the world's most celebrated properties, but it was France that kept calling me back. The châteaux of the Loire. The lavender-scented mornings in Provence. The way a small-town market in Normandy can feel like the whole world slowing down just for you.
When I made the move from hosting guests to guiding them through France, I brought everything I had learned: how to read a room, how to find the right table, how to turn a logistical challenge into a seamless moment. Valise & Co was born from that transition — a belief that travel, done well, is the highest form of hospitality.
